Mala Making & Meditative Art Workshop

  • Jenny Fairbank 11911 Farm to Market Road 2325 Wimberley, TX, 78676 United States (map)

CONNECT + COMMUNITY + CREATE

Malas are not just trendy pieces of jewelry; they are used as a tool to help the mind focus during meditation, and the simple, repetitive act of hand-knotting 108 beads together becomes an art meditation in itself.

Baja Malas is on the road coming to Wimberly in the Texas Hill Country for the first time! Escape to the peaceful Ruby Retreats at Camino Ranchito where we will gather to CONNECT with ourselves, others & the Divine, enjoy COMMUNITY and CREATE a sacred piece of jewelry.

Please join us for this meaningful experience to create a personal mālā with your intentions and energy infused into each bead and knot. We begin with learning a bit about the history & significance of meditation malas, then hand knot our 108 beads together.

For this workshop, we will be using white turquoise, semi-precious gemstones and you will have your choice of color knotting cord, guru bead and tassel to personal your unique mala. White is considered to be the most spiritual of all colors because it contains all of the colors of the chakras. In addition, white is believed to represent renewal, rebirth, purity and passion.
